As a live-in Care Professional with Apex Social, you will join a global organization that specializes in providing unique work and travel opportunities for young educators, therapists and social workers. Apex Care Professionals help children and their families by promoting their development, supporting them in everyday life, adapting tasks and surroundings to their needs and abilities, and removing barriers that restrict their independence. You will make a significant difference in the quality of everyday life of children with and without special needs!

Employment with Benefits and Support

As an Apex Care Professional, you will be a household employee with hourly pay, a minimum of 2 weeks of paid time off, and 4 paid holidays. Unlike a 1099 contractor, being an employee with an employment contract offers critical protections, such as Social Security contributions, unemployment benefits, and guaranteed compliance with labor laws. Our dedicated Apex Household Employment Specialist will guide you through negotiating your contract terms with your host family, ensuring the job offer aligns with your goals and provides clarity and fairness. This personalized support empowers you to confidently start a meaningful placement.

Lodging: Enjoy a comfortable home or private apartment covered fully or partially by your host family, saving you $18,000–$36,000 annually.
Meals: Enjoy meals provided as part of your package, providing an estimated savings of $3,600–$6,000 annually. This benefit helps ease your daily expenses, giving you more financial freedom to focus on your goals.
