Travel Recommendations from Care Professionals – Part V

Michelle Dreier – Los Angeles, CA

I really enjoyed my vacation in Maui with my best friend from Germany. We rented a camper and discovered the whole island. We slept at the beach with an open trunk and fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night. Everything is so colorful and wonderful in Maui – the nature, food, snorkeling with sea turtles, and surfing. A must-do is the road to Hana. You start at Paia and drive along the beach, through the jungle, and I highly recommend making several stops along the road. One of my favorite spots was lonely waterfalls where you can jump in, swim, cool down, or just hide from the humid weather. The most stunning view was at Haleakala during the sunset – just gorgeous above the clouds.

Vicky Stöckel – Boston, MA

At my first CP meet up we spontaneously decided to go to a concert. I have heard a few songs before but didn’t really know the Band. Now this is one of my favorite Bands.

Kyra Jüngling – Bethesda, MA

Many museums in Washington DC are free. My favorites so far are the National Gallery of Art and the National Museum of Natural History. For a great view with little effort, I would recommend the Great Falls in Virginia.
