I would definitely recommend Connecticut, the parks on the coast are incredibly beautiful, otherwise definitely New York and for me personally Central Park!
I also would recommend the Harvard vs. Yale football game and a basketball game in New York if you like sport.

Definitely Maui, Hawaii! I personally recommend solo traveling and staying in hostels!

The Painted Hills, Oregon and The Twin Falls, Idaho are definitely worth it to see!

If you get the opportunity, you should definitely visit the Universal Studio/ Island of Adventures Park in Orlando. They have a lot of amazing themes like Harry Potter or Minions. It’s a lot of fun and truly a magical place. If you have more time you should visit Discovery Cove to swim with dolphins, rays, sharks, or fishes. It’s a great experience.

One of my most memorable travel experiences took me to Puerto Rico when a fellow Care Professional reached out to me on Instagram. Despite not knowing each other initially, we decided to meet in Puerto Rico for a long weekend. What started as a casual connection transformed into a meaningful friendship. We explored the vibrant streets of Old San Juan, indulged in local cuisine, and shared stories while relaxing on the beautiful beaches. This spontaneous trip not only enriched my travel adventures but also gifted me with a lasting bond that goes beyond borders.

I can absolutely recommend the 4th of July in Philadelphia! There is a parade, a free concert, a firework and party all over the birthplace of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The best spent Holiday out in the city! I loved visiting Washington DC.. And it is not only about the national memorials or the national institutions. The Arlington Cemetery is also super impressive and gorgeous in fall with all its colors. Assateague Island is a really nice spot too. But watch out in summer, NEVER go without a bug spray. It´s insane how many insects there are!!! We did a boat tour to escape the bugs and saw all the wild horses. It was magical. I can also recommend to try different amusement parks like Sixflags, Hersheys, Disney or Universal! They are really next level.

I can repeat myself and just recommend to anyone that you should do a trip to Alaska! It was breathtaking. The nature, the snow, and all the fun activities that you can do there! Grab a bunch of people and share an Airbnb. I can assure you will have the time of your life. You can do a Dogsled ride, or a Snowmobile tour, see the Northern Lights, the Cena Hot Springs are worth the drive, visit Santa Claus House, see Ice Museums, and just enjoy the time!

My dear friend Michelle moved to Florida with her host family in August, so of course I had to go and visit her! We spent an amazing weekend at the beach in October! We were even able to spot a Manatee in the wild and visit a sea turtle recovery center.

I was on a hike with my friend Jill. She said it was a beginner friendly trail. Turned out she lied to me. I had to slide down on my butt.

I recommend to take a trip to Toronto and Niagara Falls. A friend and I went to Toronto for three days over the weekend. It was such a nice and fun trip. We loved to stroll through Kensington Market and visit all the wonderful small vintage boutiques. We had so much fun talking to the owners and looking around. Also, Toronto is the perfect start for a day trip to Niagara Falls. You can take the train and bus to explore the small town and of course the Niagara Falls.

My girlfriend (the lovely Kathi) and I wanted to go to Washington D.C. for the weekend. So we packed our things, rented a car, and off we went. Side fact: We don’t fill up the tank in New Jersey – the gas station attendant does that. Kathi and I had to fill up somewhere in the middle of nowhere. We were standing in front of the gas pump in the middle of the night in the cold. The gas pump stared at us and we stared at the gas pump. AND NOBODY CAME TO HELP US! We obviously needed help, because we stood there for 10 minutes without doing anything. Well after 10 minutes in the snow, we figured it out and were able to fill up. We were really happy when we got back to New Jersey and the gas station attendant filled up for us.

Washington is definitely a must-see. I flew there on my own and I can say that you definitely can’t do everything in 4 days. There is so much history and art there. The place and the people inspired me. So much diversity and adventure. I ate a giant cookie for the first time. Probably the best cookie in my entire life.

For my credit points, I have chosen the Texas Class, which I attended with a friend. I was already very interested in ranch and cowboy life and the class gave me the opportunity to get to know it. We were able to gain many different insights and experiences that I wouldn’t have had on a simple trip to Texas. For example, we had a cowboy breakfast, went horseback riding, learned how to throw a lasso, had lein dancing lessons, had a bonfire with cowboys and guitars, were able to sit on a longhorn and much more.
I had such a uniquely wonderful time there! I had tears in my eyes because I had to go back as my time there was over.
So if anyone is looking for a good class – I can highly recommend Texas!

Go to Acadia National Park and generally the New England region during the fall because the foliage is just the best.

If you’re looking for a travel recommendation from me, I highly suggest visiting Tulum, Mexico. This charming town on the Riviera Maya offers a perfect blend of history, nature, and relaxation, making it an ideal destination for a memorable getaway. From exploring the ancient Mayan ruins overlooking the Caribbean Sea to participating in a magical turtle release event and taking a refreshing swim in the ocean at night, Tulum has something for everyone. I guarantee that a trip to Tulum will leave you with memories that will last a lifetime. So pack your bags and get ready for an unforgettable adventure in paradise!
Another recommendation is visiting Las Vegas, which means exploring the lively Strip with its iconic casinos, such as the Bellagio and Caesars Palace. Be sure to check out the futuristic MSG Sphere for cutting-edge entertainment experiences. Whether you’re trying your luck at the gaming tables or soaking in the city’s vibrant atmosphere, Las Vegas promises an unforgettable experience filled with excitement and wonder.

Last year I drove with Alija to Sedona. After the hike, we went to the little town and met a man who rescues snakes and educates people about them. Alija and I were able to hold this little snake called Gomez. He even had a stripe over his mouth which looked like a mustache.

We drove 4 hours into the Yosemite National Park to see the „firefall“ at horsetail on the last of the possible days. We didn’t ‚recognize‘ the waterfall at first because there was so little water that day and it was therefore very short. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience to see it turn red.

It‘s beautiful if you drive down the coast from San Francisco to Monterey, Carmel by the sea, and Big Sur.
