During our husky sledding adventure in Alaska, our guide, Mascha, shared amazing stories from his past, including a close encounter with a moose and how he once traveled 40 miles across ice floes in -30 degree weather, sometimes up to his waist in freezing water. His tales added such a magical touch to the experience!

I never thought I would sleep in an airport…two nights stuck in Houston because of a „snowstorm“.
One item on my bucket list was to see this one metal band here in America… I made it to the festival… only to find out that this festival takes place in the area where the singer grew up – Makes it even more special.

I haven’t been here very long and I still have my travels ahead of me. I’m particularly looking forward to the Bahamas.

In addition to my unforgettable trip to Hawaii, I also had many other wonderful trips to for example New York City, Miami, Covington, Disney World and the Universal Studios or to various national parks such as Acadia in Maine, the Volcanoes in Hawaii or the Everglades in Florida. But actually, you don’t have to travel far to have a nice trip. I went camping nearby with friends and we had a fantastic weekend! Or day trips from Cape Cod (where I live in the summer with m host family) to go whale watching or to Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket are also worth a trip.

Definitely Chicago, the city I live in, is one of my absolute favorites! I love the lake and the river running through the city. Taking a walk by the water, surrounded by skyscrapers in the spring… it’s a dream.

Alaska was always on my bucket list and it is totally worth it!!! We visited Alaska during winter time and it was amazing. I loved the nature like the glaciers or Denali Park but also the animals you are able to spot is breathtaking. You should really try a husky ride! One of my favourite things was seeing the Aurora lights. It’s something very special and you will always remember this experience!

My favorite trip was to the Bahmas. I went with Açelya another CP, we had so much fun. We were able to see beautiful beaches, went on a Boat tour to see turtles, colorful fish, the famous swimming pigs and starfish. It was such a unforgettable time. We rented a car and were able to explore almost the whole island we drove to different beaches and spots. Watched the sunset at the beach and enjoyed every moment we had there. Besides being there, my company made it super special. Being able to experience this trip with Açelya, who truly became my person here was just amazing.
Another must see for me is Miami Beach. I loved the vibe of the area and all the people. Everybody there was super friendly I made lots of new friends. I loved sitting at the beach and listening to the sounds of the ocean and of course swimming in it. Soaking in the sunshine especially during the winter time was a amazing thing to do. I truly enjoyed exploring South Beach and soaking up every part of this area.
If you live in New Jersey I really think you should take a trip to the Jersey Shore, we went in the winter and it was still amazing. So it will be even more amazing in summer!!! We watched the sunset and sunrise and it was truly magical. Special to me was also to see a partly frozen ocean, with a thick layer of ice at the beach. The view was just breathtaking. If you combine it with a visit of the biggest Hindu temple in North America it’s gonna be a unforgettable experience. You will experience two completely different worlds in one day.

When I got here I never thought I can full fill one of my biggest dreams. I was able to see the northern lights right across the street from where we live. I was freezing cause I was sitting outside in the cold for almost 4 hours to make pictures. I got sick afterwards but it was more than worth it! One picture takes at least 30 seconds.

Instead of sharing another travel destination, I’d like to share something that I personally believe is often overlooked.
‼️Don’t stress yourself out about your travel plans.
‼️ You don’t have to visit all 50 states in a short span of 1-2 years. You can always return to the states anytime, and you probably will, as you want to visit your host family and friends.
Many trips happen naturally through people you meet, so you don’t need to have everything planned out the first week you arrive. Also, don’t forget to explore and experience all the nearby and local attractions. And most importantly, do things on your own terms. You don’t need to wait for someone to accompany you on a trip or to try that restaurant you have wanted to go to since weeks. Being your own best company is incredibly empowering. And I know for a fact that you’re petty damn cool, so why not enjoy yourself?! 😎

One of the most beautiful places I’ve been to in the U.S. is Duluth in Minnesota. The most unforgettable moments are watching the sunrise over Lake Superior. It’s a breathtaking sight that I will never forget. As the sun slowly rises, the sky is painted in shades of blue and orange, reflecting off the calm water and creating a peaceful, almost magical atmosphere. Adding to the beauty, chunks of ice are drifting on the lake’s surface, slowly moving with the gentle waves sometimes. Sitting in my host families living room, taking the endless view of the lake, is an experience that truly made me appreciate the beauty of nature. Duluth may not be the most well-known destination, but for me, it’s a hidden gem that everyone should visit at least once!

Hawai’i! The stunning beaches, forests, and hiking trails made it feel like paradise. It was my first time snorkeling with turtles and standing on a real surf board. The trip was a dream come true!

When I was in NYC with dear Kim. We saw Apex backpacks and went there immediately. The girls came from the West Coast. It was super funny to be there at the same time without coordinating. That’s how small the world can be sometimes.
