Gesundheits- und Kinderkrankenpflegerin - Darina K.

I love my chaotic host family!

Sozialarbeiterin - Julia G.

I want my sister to know that I am infinitely grateful to her for taking me on this adventure. Thank you for doing this together and allowing us to experience so much. I enjoy every adventure with you and look forward to every new one. You are the most amazing person and the best sister anyone could wish for!

My second message goes to you Lea 😉 I am more than happy that our lives crossed again after so many years. We moved on but the „Gartenstadt“ will never leave us. I can’t believe we are all here now and can explore America together. You have a special place in my heart! Onto new trips and more memories!💜

Sportphysiotherapeutin & Ernährungsberaterin - Theresa R.

In the storybook of my time abroad, one of the most treasured chapters revolves around my friend Lea. Our journey began in front of a Manhattan bar that quickly became our go-to spot. From the moment we met, Lea became more than a friend – she became my confidante, my big sister in this vast city. Her wisdom and guidance have been a constant source of support, and I am profoundly grateful for her presence in my life.

To Lea, thank you for being my number one person and making every New York adventure unforgettable. Here’s to the bar that brought us together and the countless memories we’ve shared – you’re forever etched in my yearbook of cherished moments.

Logopädin - Hannah E.

To all the wonderful people who made my experience so incredibly great:

I love and appreciate you all so so so much! I’m so happy to have spent these years with you all!! Without you I don’t know if I could have done this! All of you made it so amazing, that’s for sure!!

Erzieher - Tim H.

I got welcomed with the words: „The kids are your problem now.“ – a nice way to start in a new home but it was a great experience. Although I really appreciate the way we stayed in contact and made new friendships here over Instagram. Once it was amazing for me to visit friends I made in New York – We had a very great time together and this is the way, a year abroad can be so special and unique.

Logopädin - Veronika E.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s to appreciate the little things and to be patient. Sometimes it’s okay to do nothing and just look at nature.

Not everything can work right from the start, sometimes all you need is time. That’s exactly what my host child taught me.

It is always important to treat yourself with love and to be appreciative.

Ergotherapeutin - Johanna R.

In Columbus and in Ohio in general are not a lot CPs from Apex, but the two girls (Phine and Julia) I met here are the kindest and funniest persons I met for a long time. Thank you for making my time in Cbus better! Ganz viel Liebe an euch 🧡

Physiotherapeutin - Julia F.

Thanks to everybody who made my time here so special! Phine, Johanna: it’s always so much fun with you, the time in the pink house was lit, auf log nen netten Abend gehabt! 👌🏼

And to my Seattle crew: I miss youuuu, thanks Jan that you slide down Mt Rainier with me !! Even tho it was just one week we had together, but I love you Luisa!

Peace out ✌🏻

Ergotherapeutin - Rika Marie B.

I can say, when you have a friend from the area then you see a lot more from the city. Also you learn so much better English then 😀

Heilerziehungspflegerin - Nathalie D.

not yet, because I really haven’t been here that long. 😀 But a message to my best friend!

Loreen, I am so happy that we are going on this journey together! I am so proud of you and of our friendship! You are family and I would never want to miss you!

I look forward to all our travels.

Love you so much.

Ergotherapeutin - Celine F.

I am so grateful for all the great people I met & friends I made. Lately, I have been spending more time on my own but I never feel lonely because of all the beautiful animals that surround me! One of my besties turned out to be a golden retriever called Eve!

Sozialarbeiter - Leon S.

During my time here I was able to fulfill many of my dreams. I was able to watch games of my favorite NFL team (Denver Broncos) live in the stadium. I was able to watch live NBA games from my team, the Denver Nuggets. I was also able to stand in the front row at the Post Malone concert in Las Vegas, speak to him briefly, and receive a tattoo that Post Malone had drawn. If I hadn’t decided to take this year abroad, I would probably never have been able to experience these dreams in this form.

Physiotherapeutin - Sanne S.

Thanks to every amazing person I met along the way so far!

Ergotherapeutin - Sara E.

This year was the best decision in my life! I found my happiness and more importantly myself again. I’ll cherish those memories forever and I’m so grateful for my amazing friends.

I thank Madlen so much for being such a great friend! I met her here and we only live 9 minutes apart. I am sure we will stay in touch when we go back to Germany. ❤

Ergotherapeutin - Açelya K.

If Kathi wasn’t here, I would be back in Germany. Thank you for the wonderful year ♥️

Physiotherapeutin - Josephine L.

To my (CP) friends Johanna and Julia: I’m so glad we met here! It’s always fun with you guys – feel hugged, love ya! 💕

To Maren: Thank you for being such a great Area Director for us Ohio CPs! Feel hugged – we appreciate you so much! 💕🙌🏼

Erzieherin - Marie W.

We went to a New Jersey Devils game (NHL) and on the way back there was a big snow storm. When we finally arrived at my host family’s house, the other care professional’s car was totally snowed in. You couldn’t even open the door, so her host dad had to come to pick her up and helped her get all the snow off the car.

In the end, he drifted out of the parking spot like a pro. It was a great experience for him. He felt like a teenager again (He grew up in Nebraska so he is used to a lot of snowing basically grew up doing donuts with cars :)). Definitely a bonding experience for the both of them.

Sozialarbeiterin - Sophie L.

I am incredibly grateful for my friends, Ronja and Julia, who introduced me to Apex Social. Their recommendation opened up a world of opportunities and connections that have had a profound impact on my personal and professional growth.

Traveling in the US with them is an experience like no other – full of laughter, adventures, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Ergotherapeutin - Sonja K.

Throughout my year I had a long time to be by myself. But that made me even happier to find such nice people that I´ve randomly talked to for hours and for my friend, whom I´ve made through Instagram that I made the most perfect road trip with.

Ergotherapeutin - Saskia H.

To Yassi from Montclair, NJ: I am SO happy to have met you over here and I cannot wait for our travel month together. You are a ray of sunshine!

To „Big“ Hanna from San Francisco: My old Boston Buddy, I hope life treats you super well on the West Coast and I hope to see you soon!

Erzieherin & Sozialarbeiterin - Clarissa G.

Our first common ground was a first bad interview, which brought us together.

Thank you Becci for always being there for me! I look forward to many more adventures and sushi together.

Gesundheits- und Kinderkrankenpflegerin - Aphrodite I.

I got to meet so many people due to Apex, all of the Care Professionals in New Jersey are awesome. I am especially grateful for my close friends Hannah and Meg, my year without you wouldn’t be the same!

Ergotherapeutin - Pia B.

I am very grateful for the friends I made and the ones who supported me through the whole experience, especially Rabea! You are the best!

Erzieherin - Beyza D.

You are so brave ! It takes a lot of courage to pack a suitcase and leave everything behind for a year. This is your year, go out and make memories!!

Physiotherapeutin - Lena K.

No matter what you think you expect, it will be completely different and it will be an incredible adventure.

Physiotherapeutin - Jannik H.

Many thanks to all my friends.

To all of them, those I first met on this trip and those who accompany me thousands of kilometers away and are always interested.

And at least as many thanks to my family, who are always there for me and support me.
