What’s Special about Denver?
Do you like skiing? How about hiking? Maybe even rock climbing? Colorado really does have it all! Home to world-class ski resorts such as Breckenridge, Vail and Aspen are within 1-2 hours drive from Denver! Amazing hiking is everywhere! In Colorado Springs, there is the Garden of the Gods and the Cave of the Winds to explore. In Southern Colorado, Mesa Verde National Park is home to the famous cliff dwellings and Great San Dunes National Park is where the famous sand dunes await you. Or just within an hour drive is Estes Park; the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park, and also Red Rocks Amphitheater for spectacular rock formations and taking in an evening concert!

Building your Professional Experience
Professional au pairs have been placed in a variety of families with special needs here in the Boulder/Denver area. These include autism spectrum disorder, chromosomal abnormalities, and severe food intolerances. Professional aupairs have gained experience in promoting social skills in their host children and increasing participation in school and enrichment activities. They have built their knowledge in preparing foods with alternative ingredients in order to expand the food options a child can experience!

Taking Interesting Courses
Several of the professional au pairs have chosen to stay local with their education. There are numerous Community Colleges that offer a variety of courses. Some professional l aupairs have chosen to attend a “destination” course in which they have traveled for a weekend course.

Having Fun!
This local group of professional au pairs has enjoyed a variety of activities. A few activities have included a Rockies baseball game, a late night movie and coffee, and exploring the Celestial Seasonings Tea Tour in Boulder.

Travel in the United States and Beyond!
Many of the host families in this area have included our professional au pairs in their family travel. This has included trips to Hawaii, Mexico, Philadelphia, Mt. Rushmore, Jackson Hole, and Chicago.

The Denver/Boulder area is home to several college campuses; University of Colorado-Boulder, Colorado School of Mines, and University of Denver. This offers many restaurants and activities that are geared towards young adults. And travel to most large U.S. cities from Denver International Airport is convenient.
