Connecticut is just perfect from the location, it’s quiet but not boring. You can explore the parks, go line dancing, you can do sports in the YMCA or other gyms, the hiking trails are also very nice here. Plus, the seasons are beautiful! We had really nice snow days, and in generell we have a lot of sunny days, the autumn is also beautiful here, because the trees look very golden, I’m looking forward to seeing that! Plus, you have New York, right next door, where you can also experience a lot! It’s just the perfect balance, between scenery, pure nature and city life.

Ergotherapeutin - Saskia H.

Well, we definitely have warmer winters down here in Georgia. And Decatur has to offer so many cute little coffee shops and really good coffee! And fantastic Bagels at B-Side.

Ergotherapeutin - Loreena

Nice to live in another country.

Diätassistentin - Sarah K.

It’s worth taking a look at the New Jersey coast, either in Asbury Park or Cape May. You can relax on the beach there or, if you’re lucky, listen to concerts or visit a fair.

Sozialarbeiterin & Erzieherin - Sophie L.

Saint Louis, Chicago, Nashville, Kansas City.

Physiotherapeutin - Sanne S.

Oregon and the surrounding states have some amazing nature and are cool for road trips! Just make sure to check if the national parks are open or on winter break…

In Florida, of course, you have amazing beaches and places like Universal Studios and the Space Centre, etc.

My story will be continued…

Ergotherapeutin - Sara E.

Washington D.C is only 10 minutes away so it’s a great opportunity to see all the monuments and the White House. Almost all of the museums are free and there’s a lot of hiking trails close by.

Erzieherin & Sozialarbeiterin - Clarissa G.

The nature is impressive. It is a nice area for a road trip to the Yosemite, LA, and, Monterey…

Sportphysiotherapeutin & Ernährungsberaterin - Theresa R.

Care Professionals should consider traveling to St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, for a unique blend of tranquility and cultural richness. The island’s breathtaking landscapes, pristine beaches, and vibrant coral reefs provide a serene escape. The welcoming community, combined with a warm climate and diverse outdoor activities, offers a perfect balance for relaxation and rejuvenation after work. Engaging with the local culture and forming connections with residents can turn a stay in St. John into a rewarding and enriching experience.

It’s not just a destination; it’s an opportunity for Care Professionals to find harmony between work and leisure in a truly exceptional setting.

Physiotherapeutin B.Sc. - Marilyn H.

Philadelphia offers to visit all the independence institutions for free that is really cool. We are close to the Jersey Shore too and you can always take a day trip to New York City.

Logopädin - Hannah E.

South Orange is only 40 min by train from NYC which is super convenient to save some money while exploring NYC! Also, there is a big Reservation (South Mountain Reservation) which has a lot of beautiful hikes!

Ergotherapeutin - Marlene R.

Washington DC is such a beautiful city – it is walkable, the historic and cultural aspect with all the free Museums is amazing, there is a good public transportation network and the city is so diverse and liberal.

Heilerziehungspflegerin - Katharina S.

New Jersey is such a nice place to visit, you can do so many things like visit the smaller suburbs, find the gorgeous views of New York City, go on beautiful nature walks, and visit the shore.

Here in Minnesota, we have amazing Tater Tots! If you have no idea what that is, great reason to come here and try 😉

We also have a lot of snow but not only! The nature is beautiful and driving up the north shore along Lake Superior is absolutely worth it!

We have the biggest Mall in America which has an inside amusement Park!

After all these amazing reasons to stay if you decide you want to leave the Canadian border is not far from here 😉

Grundschullehrerin - Lea H.

Colorado is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, with its stunning landscapes, towering mountains, and endless opportunities for skiing, hiking, and communing with nature.

Colorado is a place of adventure, wonder, and endless possibilities, and I am grateful for the experiences and memories that this beautiful state has given me.

It has a special place in my heart.

Erzieherin - Jana Sophia P.

I live near San Francisco and this city is definitely worth a visit. There really is a lot to discover.

My highlights so far have of course been the Golden Gate Bridge and Baker Beach (from there you also have a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge).

But I can also highly recommend Fisherman’s Wharf or the Palace of Fine Arts.

The city has a lot to offer in general, including Lombard Street, Chinatown, Golden Gate Park, and much more, and you definitely have to take a ride on the cable cars.

Ergotherapeutin - Alina G.

Miami is its own world with all the different cultures and the mainly Latin people. I definitely would recommend other CPs to visit some of the fun museums they have.

Also, on the weekends is always in Wynwood a food festival called Smorgasburg, everything I tried there so far was absolutely delicious.

Ergotherapeutin - Açelya K.

Unfortunately, where I live, public transportation doesn’t get you very far in New Jersey. However, you have a great connection to New York City. And NYC is wow!

You can also drive further down and see NYC from everywhere, which I can really recommend to anyone.

Logopädin - Jillian L.

The Jersey shore is always worth a trip! Also you are so close to NYC but also have beautiful nature only a short road trip away.

Erzieherin - Carina R.

California is simply an incredibly beautiful state. It has several national parks and beautiful beaches. The weather is usually nice.

Erzieherin - Marie W.

We are so close to New York City and the nature in Jersey is pretty.

Ergotherapeutin - Sarah Diana S.

I love the jersey beaches!! Long Beach Island and Cape May are incredibly pretty. 😍

Gesundheits- und Kinderkrankenpflegerin - Aphrodite I.

I really like the smaller towns in New Jersey, with cute boutiques and shops. Hoboken is one of my favorite towns here.

The Liberty State Park is really nice for a walk and for pictures of the NYC Skyline. I live very close to New York City, so there is a lot of stuff to explore there.

It’s really nice to live close to the beach as well, you should go to the Jersey Shore and relax at the beach.

Concerts at Asbury Park are amazing!

Logopädin - Veronika E.

Obviously the sun. It gives you a lot of dopamine and the beach.

Miami is a very creative and aesthetic area. That brings both positives and negatives. The people are very focused and determined. It helped me a lot to find myself and live in the moment. To enjoy the beach and be happy.

Lots of art museums and beautiful parks, the sea and many rooftop bars. Miami is a bit crazy so if you have that attitude, you’ll love it. There’s a lot of life in Miami, a lot of partying, and at the same time, it’s safe.

In my neighborhood, there is Aventura Mall, very famous and big. You can take the Brightline (train) to Orlando or the Keys. Brickell or Fort Lauderdale are also places worth seeing. I was also interested in filming locations, for example, „Step up Miami Heat“ was filmed here.

Sozialarbeiterin - Ann-Sophie H.

Boston is the largest city in New England and also a beautiful, comparatively small city on the water. If you are interested in American history (Boston Tea Party, for example), this is the place for you – Boston is the cradle of American history and combines past and present.

Examples of sights/ attractions are: the waterfront of Boston, Public Garden + Boston Common, Beacon Hill, Newbury Street, the Freedom Trail, Cambridge (Harvard University).

Boston is also a great base for trips into the New England countryside. I recommend Cape Cod in the summer, including a whale-watching tour. The White Mountains and Acadia National Park should be visited in the fall (autumn is so beautifully colorful here!) and you should definitely go apple picking and try fresh apple cider and apple cider donuts.

Ergotherapeutin - Pia B.

If you are able to, you should check out Fredericksburg, VA. It is in the between Washington D.C. and the state capitol Richmond.

Fredericksburg has a walkable! cute Downtown area, with lots of historic buildings. Fredericksburg has many artists in town in any form like drawers, musicians and performers. Fun Fact, the winner of The Voice from Niall Horan’s Team named Huntley grew up and lived here!

Anyway, due to that there are many awesome local art events and unique shops! Amazing variety of coffee shops, bookstores, good food, and whatnot. We also have a lot of nature and cute parks.

Lehrerin - Megan R.

New Jersey is so close to New York and is so beautiful in its own way! There is so much to do – you will always be busy!

Heilerziehungspflegerin - Laura M.

I love the East Bay Area from San Francisco because it looks so beautiful and there are so many cute towns.

Ergotherapeutin - Jasmin W.

This area is perfect if you love snow and generally all four seasons. Salem, the City of the Witches is close by and Boston is a must-see. So many nice buildings and history.

Worth visiting Cambridge and Harvard. Cape Cod and Rockport are both beautiful places at the sea.

Ergotherapeutin- Darleen H.

Because it’s NEW YORK!!! It’s the city that never sleeps!

Here’s something for everyone: Go to Ellen’s Stardust for food and a live performing waitress. Take a walk across the Brooklyn bridge and enjoy the sunset on the Brooklyn side with a view to Manhattan and the statue of Liberty. Grab a bagel or a pesto panini at „Broad Nosh Bagels Deli & Catering 58th Street“ and enjoy it in the central park.

Sozialarbeiterin - Dina K.

First of all because of the weather! The nature is also amazing in Florida. You can rent a kayak and make a nice picnic or have a party weekend in Miami with drinks on a rooftop bar or at the pool.

Physiotherapeutin - Julia F.

When you go to Cincinnati you need to go to the Findlay market, it’s the oldest market in America.

Also, you can travel from one state to another so easily, so you should better do this! There’s really not much to see in Ohio.

Erzieherin - Beyza D.

If you love nature and hikes then Atlanta will be always a good idea! Also if you are a fan of the series Vampire Diaries then you should visit Covington!

Physiotherapeutin - Lena K.

St. Patrick’s Day: No comments necessary.

Erzieherin - Laura H.

Almost every museum is free, the cherry blossoms season is beautiful here.

Ergotherapeutin - Rebecca D.

You should definitely go visit Washington D.C. because it’s the capital and there is so much history you can visit all the cool monuments in the museum for free. There’s also so much nature to hike.

Georgetown, it’s a must to do, especially the University. I would also really recommend Alexandria old town to visit all the cute cafés and shops.

Heilerziehungspflegerin - Julia T.

Arizona has a lot to offer. It’s almost always sunny so it’s a great way to escape the winter Blues.

Besides the Grand Canyon which is definitely worth the visit, we have lots of other great hiking spots. And for me, spring training is so much fun if you’re into sports.

Erzieher - Tobias B.

California is amazing. It’s almost always sunny, with great people, and stunning nature. Big houses like San Francisco and Los Angeles are really worth a visit.

Ergotherapeutin - Jasmin A.

Seattle is full of different things to do! really anything! It’s always green and we have mountains, water, and beaches! The people here are very friendly but not too typically American-superficial-friendly which is very pleasant.

Heilerziehungspflegerin - Nathalie D.

I don’t know yet. I haven’t really seen anything of my new home myself :D. But I guess you can hike very well here!

Ergotherapeut - Jan H.

Seattle is excellent for hiking, as well as for lying on the beach on a sunny day.

Sozialarbeiter - Maike B.

The summer here is said to be very nice and you can do a lot of road trips like going to Mount Rushmore. What’s more, you have both here, because you can also experience a real winter with snowstorms. It’s a quiet place, without a lot of stress.

Erzieher - Angelina B.

Soooo if you are traveling to my area especially Rockville, I can show you a lot of great food places. And also I live 45 minuets away from Washington DC, there is a lot of stuff to do, if you like walking around and public transportation.

Ergotherapeutin - Emely R.

Colorado is great for hiking. You can always see mountains and the nature is beautiful. Denver Airport is very big and popular, so you can easily travel everywhere.

Ergotherapeutin - Celine F.

Virgina and the area where I live are really remote. It is nice to live in the area if someone likes to spend time outside and go on hikes. There are many breweries and wineries.

Erzieher - Justin R.

Seattle CPs are simply the best!!! And there are lots of adventures waiting for you here, both in the city and in nature.

Ergotherapeutin - Selina R.

It’s a great experience. You can learn a lot, meet new people and visit great places!

Physiotherapeutin - Noelle Ö.

Seattle has many different landscapes, like mountains, forests, and beaches. This gives you a wide range of activities to do. So, if you’re an outdoor person, Seattle is a great place to live!

Moreover, it’s pretty close to Canada and it’s easy to cross the border with car:)

Ergotherapeutin - Syreen G.

NYC just has everything, the skyline views are insane, you can walk for hours and explore so many cute unique little stores, you can eat the most creative, fun, delicious desserts and get good fashion inspo by all the well-dressed people who walk around in Soho.

Heilerziehungspflegerin - Madita R.

I love to see the Flyers playing!

Heilerziehungspflegerin - Franziska W.

Grandfathers Mountain State Park

Erzieherin - Lea J.

It’s the perfect balance between a small town and big city. It’s close to the mountains and to the beach and it’s beautiful!

Physiotherapeut - Jannik H.

Princeton in particular is a very beautiful city that is well worth seeing and has a very impressive campus.

Gesundheits- und Krankenpflegerin - Joy A.

I‘m living in New Jersey, the Garden State. Every season of the year is beautiful. I’ve never seen a more beautiful spring, summer, fall, or winter. It’s close to New York City and New Jersey has beautiful beaches.

Erzieher - Nathalie M.

I think Chicago is still my favorite city in the U.S. because you have so many different opportunities here. I love being downtown but it also has so many beautiful beaches and offers many different types of activities for young people.

Gesundheits- und Kinderkrankenpflegerin - Linda M.

Rhode Island is the smallest state in the U.S. and Newport is a beautiful city on the ocean and a hotspot to meet Taylor Swift in her vacation house.

Heilerziehungspflegerin - Tabea B.

The nature here is beautiful and perfect for hiking while still being close to the beach. Salem is a great city with an interesting history and a lot of fun shops.

You should definitely also visit Wolf Hollow in Ipswich.

Ergotherapeutin - Veronica L.

Other CPs should visit New York City in the U.S. for its diverse cultural experiences, iconic landmarks like the Statue of Liberty and Times Square, world-class museums, Broadway shows, vibrant culinary scene, and endless shopping opportunities.

Ergotherapeutin - Sonja K.

I am located in Tampa, Florida. It’s really beautiful here. A lot of nature, many lakes, woods and of course the sea with a lot of beaches. You can see manatees in the sea, and besides the beautiful nature, a big Cuban influence.

Erzieherin - Juliana B.

We have beaches, we have the Everglades and we sometimes have the heaviest rain showers I have ever experienced!

Erzieherin - Anne Katrin K.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center, the Beach, Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum

Physiotherapeutin - Josephine L.

Other CPs should travel to Ohio because Columbus and Cincinnati are pretty nice cities with pretty nice people.

We have for example the Hocking Hills here if you are into hiking. You can also watch the Buckeyes playing at Ohio State. Ohio is home to some of the nation’s largest amusement and water parks too – so that’s fun during spring and summer!

And you can enjoy all four seasons here.

Erzieher - Tim H.

Travel to Boston for a blend of rich history, vibrant culture, and endless possibilities. Explore iconic landmarks like the Freedom Trail and Faneuil Hall, indulge in delectable seafood, immerse yourself in world-class museums, and experience the city’s unique charm around every corner.

Ergotherapeutin - Johanna R.

You should visit Columbus because it’s a fun and young city. It’s not as crowded as popular American cities. You can meet me and my friends here, go to clubs and have parties, explore downtown, go to a wide variety of shops in many different parts of Columbus and you can visit a lot of parks, with little waterfalls and lakes that are cool spots to go for a walk.

Columbus is not famous but it’s typical American, the people are always kind and cool! It’s not big but worth a visit 🙂

Sozialarbeiter - Leon S.

Colorado is full of mountains. You can do a lot hikes here. The view is spectacular every time here. Every drive you can see the mountains or cute ranches.

I live in Boulder and see the mountains all the time. The view when I drive the US 36 in the west/north-west is one of the best views I’ve ever seen! You have a lot of small towns which are very cute too.

Also, the sports teams are good here. And the weather is very crazy. In the night you have -7C° and during the day 14C°. On Monday you wore shorts but on Thursday you get around 20cm of snow. And on Sunday it is sunny again.
